Hello RF Youth Family,

I hope you all enjoyed your summer. It's amazing how quickly it goes!

I am reaching out to you today on behalf of Stamfords youth, our youth!

In Connecticut, there are more than 160,000 children (25 percent of Connecticut youth) that have life situations that place them at risk for personal and academic failure. These situations include poverty, inadequate early childhood experiences and preparation for school, family drug use, violence, involvement in the criminal justice system, and lack of access to needed social and mental health services, among others.
Children who have ongoing relationships with caring adults are more likely to avoid alcohol or other drugs, stay in school and get good grades, have a better self-image and have better relationships with their families and friends.

RF Youth Boxing is committed to engaging the citizens and local businesses in Stamford/ Greater Fairfield County community to partner in developing our children with the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to become competent, caring, and contributing citizens of the world.

RF Youth Boxing provides an opportunity for children and teens in the Stamford and Greater Fairfield County community constructive and exciting physical fitness alternatives to negative life choices that might otherwise occupy their after-school time.

Last year, your generous donation helped over twelve kids participated in the program. We have worked with four kids from Juvenile Probation, three of out kids graduated high school, seven kids have participated in our RF Youth Boxing sponsored sparring shows, three have compete in official USA sanctioned amateur boxing events and all have either performed or helped out in all RF Youth Boxing fundraiser or events.

Even after our kids pass through our program they continue to demonstrate everything they have learned here at RF Youth Boxing. Many of our kids such as, Berton Simon, AJ Malvisi and Evens Antoine after graduating the program either continue to stay on and train or they come back from college in the summer to help out at the gym

Without your generosity and support, none of this would have been possible.

This year our goal is to surpass what we raised last year ($40,000) so that we can help more kids and offer more services. We can surpass $40,000 if 80 people gave $500.00 or 160 people gave $250.00 or if 266 people bought a VIP ticket for $150.00 and came out and had a great time.

Join the movement (A call to provide opportunities to our vulnerable youth).

On Saturday September 27,2008 @ 6:30PM we will host our second annual Fall Fisticuffs Fundraiser/Boxing Championship. Its will be a fun night full of boxing, music, entertainment (poetry, dance performances and singing) food, drinks, 50/50 raffle and silent auction.

Last year we had the first annual Fall Fisticuffs and it was so cool. The energy was crazy. We had the mayor of Stamford come by, Travis Simms (at the time champion middle weight of the world), Dance-Fit performed and the fights were off the hook:-) This year it will be bigger and better.

Tickets: $150.00 VIP, $25.00 General Admission and $10 youth and USA Boxing Members.

We hope you will join us once again in reaching our fundraising goal. Tickets are on sale now. You can purchase tickets or make a donation online at www.revolutionfitness.org or you can also send a check payable to: RF Youth Boxing Inc

For every dollar invested in a high-quality mentoring program using trained community volunteers in Connecticut, $3.28 could be saved in the avoidance of crime, school failure, child abuse, substance and other costly negative outcomes. (taken from Governors Prevention website)

I have fixed a few errors that were on the site. Everything has been validated, checked and good to go. I have also added several things, one if you notice is the 'Best of Stamford' logo in the header. Revolution Fitness was voted the Best health club in Stamford 2008.

Hey guys this is Rob Cifre, The web guy. I have recently redeveloped the site so please take a look around and enjoy. It may look similar to the old one but this one runs way better, with more features.
Ahmad and I will keep this site updated to keep you informed on all of our scheduled events.
